It has been a long day. Since going out to photograph the procession, I've been at the computer trying to figure out a couple of issues in publishing a book on Blurb. Everything I've found out has led me to another problem that has to be researched. My brain is fried but I did want to share some images from the procession today. Today was the first time I have seen a painted sawdust carpet. It was a block long and it was beautiful. Most impressive.
Maybe my unconscious brain will work on my book problems while I sleep. Tomorrow is another day.
I like the way your new cameras are dealing with the contrast.

ReplyDeleteDo you know about a company called My Publisher. The online software is free and the product is beautiful - high quality paper and color.
loulou, I have heard of My Publisher but have not used them before. I should do some research about them. Thanks for the reminder.
DeleteGosh, I had no idea that they had a procession in Col San Antonio. We had a teeny tiny one up here on the hill..........with the tuba band! Precious....
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I always go to the one here. It is so nice to be in my own neighborhood and also the crowds are manageable. There were not as many people this year as their have been in some years past but the stations of the cross were lovely. I'm always amazed at the organization that goes into these events. We did not have police directing traffic. One of the men would stand in the street at a corner and direct cars to go somewhere else. When the procession was on Orizaba, one old man sat on a plastic carton in the middle of the street and pointed for the cars to go turn off. Not one driver seemed irritated. They just looked at the procession taking up the street and figured out another way to get to where they wanted to go.
DeleteOh, another thing that was different this year. They usually have recorded music. Not this time. In the back of a pickup truck they had a man playing a electric keyboard and loud speakers. Behind the truck was a woman with a microphone who lead the singers.
DeleteAnd this year, someone walked with the Priest and kept him covered with an umbrella. In the past he has been walking in the sun with the rest of the procession.
