There is one problem. The terrible photo on the card. The photo I had taken, while it wasn't wonderful, it wasn't this bad. I don't know what they did to it but I think I'm stuck with it for a long time. Well, like Permanente.

Yay! Mine is pending. I applied last week. That picture is kind of cute. And it's interesting that the card is green. Green Cards in the US haven't been green for years. Way to go! Felicidades!
ReplyDeleteCongrats my dear.........
ReplyDeleteAnd now you can even apply for a job at Sanborns (when it comes to SMA)!
ReplyDeleteLet me add my congratulations. My photograph went through some transformation, as well. It makes me look like a Black Hand assassin.
ReplyDeleteSteve, see my reply to Al.
DeleteWelcome to our Mexican world. However, I am shocked that you finally put a face to yourself. You look quite nice.
ReplyDeleteFelipe, there are very few pictures of me. I'm always the one with the camera.
DeleteBillie: Don't be so damn vain. You look fine on the picture and in person. So stop it.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Al. I admit it. I don't want to look any worse than necessary. While I wouldn't have bought the ID picture to hang on the wall, it was better than how it ended up on the card. Maybe they add a wrinkle filter for us old geezers because they know we are going to get more crinkly every year.
DeleteThanks, Brenda, Judith and Babs. It is a nice feeling to have that little card. Certainly feels more permanent than the year to year Temporary Resident Card. It was one thing when it was called an FM3 but the new Temporary Resident card really sounds TEMPORARY.
